Julia Mack has an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1985) and a graduate degree from Pratt Institute (1990), both in Interior Design. She has also studied abroad on Semester At Sea (1984), which broadened her global perspective while travelling around the world.

Upon moving to New York City in 1985, she was hired by Landor Associates, a company known for product Branding, who was, at the time, venturing into commercial interior design projects. As a junior designer, she realized her talent in Color and Material selections and moved to Kohn, Pederson, Fox, Conway. Rewarding projects there include various corporate headquarters and the custom design of a 50,000 sq. ft. home in Pawling, NY.

With a love of residential decorating, Julia first designed her own Landmarked Townhouse in 1991 in Brooklyn and then formed Julia Mack Design, LLC with the purpose of helping others live happily in well decorated spaces.  Rewarding commissions include an eclectic Parlor Floor in Boerum Hill: http://bit.ly/tJRiT2 and sophisticated one bedroom apartment in Cobble Hill: http://bit.ly/wXUO64 .

She is currently working on designing her new Townhouse in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn and invites you to follow her progress on her video blog: http://juliamackdesign.tumblr.com/.
